Went under the car the other evening while changing my oil and noticed an "oilish" substance on the exhaust pipe adjacent to the differential. Took the car in to the dealer and they told me the rear axle seal was broken. My car is a 2012 R/T auto w/6,000 miles. Anyone else run into this problem?

Yep, passenger side seal leaked from factory tho it was a July 31, 2008 build. Dripped on exhaust, replaced under warranty in October 2008 as soon as I found it.

Looks like the same deal here except it was the driver side.

I take it you haven't had any issues since?

Nope, two years 6.5k miles then traded it two years ago yesterday, for my PCP R/T. Very few cars seems, but happens and like U noticed it drips on exhaust, thought mine was tar drip down from assembly, tll I got under enough to see da oil bout to drip off.
