: What to use to fill drill hole in sheetmetal?

I need to fill a hole that's underneath the car by the exhaust hanger towards the back. Made the hole to move the hanger (1 bolt) so it would make fit my Borla exhaust system.

Now that I've got Zoomers on, I've put the hanger bolt in the OEM location. Now I got that old hole I want to fill up. First I will get rid of the minor surface rust, but then wanted to fill the drill hole. Any ideas on what would be best? I'd rather have it filled than having an extra hole in my car.

Thanks!

Just go to the hardware store and get a body panel plug and plug it after you finish protecting the metal.

Do these plugs screw back into the panel? Also are the stainless.

They'll be either plastic or rubber and should'nt damage the metal when they're pressed in. PDR guys use them when they have to drill holes to fix dents.

Get a wire brush like the cone type you can put on a drill. Once you get bare metal primer it and plastidip it. I did that for the hole it had to make on my blow down tube on my bottle. In your case then put the body plug in there.
