Has anyone seen the video(s) on youtube? I find this stuff amazing! Has anyone used it before?
It's too bad they don't ship to Canada :( Unfortunately I bought my Challenger used, so it has some "touch up" paint on it. After watching a video on youtube where they "dipped" a whole car, I was thinking about doing it.

Plasti dip they sell it in spray form at homedepot and lowes. Most do small parts like rims and grills gas tank lid. My buddy did his 05 corvette looked alright. It leaves a litte texture on the car

I've been to their shop and they did my buddy's Charger R/T in flat black. It came out awesome.
We also discussed doing something on my car.....

I sprayed my mirror housings and door handles with it...going to prep the roof tonight and spray it tomorrow. Picked up a Wagner paint spray gun and will get a few gallons and do the entire car soon...love this stuff! Protective but easy once you want to remove it...I kinda like the light texture...if coats 1-3 are thin enough then usually almost no real texture.

For those of you that have "dipped" your car, when you spray plasti-dip on the original paint, does it at all damage the paint? When you decided to peel it off, does it damage the original paint?
I take it since its basically plastic in a can, you can't wax the parts that have been dipped, correct?
Wish I knew a place in Canada that sells the plasti-dip by the gallon. After watching the video, I'm toying with the idea of doing the whole car black ;)

Sure! The hood is actually a wrap though...this was before I knew about PD.

No paint damage that I have seen, peeling it off is just like peeling a BIG sticker off...but no adhesive left behind.
No you cannot wax plasti-dip. But it protects the paint underneath. Basically you are spraying on a rubber coating/protectant that can be easily removed if you want. Did my truck grille, emblems and fuel door. My Challenger has mirror housings, door handles and Dodge lettering on the tail so far. Did the roof but had to peel it off...came out BAD since it's not vertical and hard to spray properly.
There are tons of videos of cars completely dipped that look great. Lots of online stores you can order PD by the gallon...post pics if you do it. I am getting a professional paint gun so I can do a few more things...and considering doing the whole car also...

Thanks! I like it too...sometimes miss my stripes but see them too often on RT and SE cars and want to set mine apart.

Pulled off the Challenger and SRT grille emblems and tried to PD them red...looked awesome but when I tried to peel the PD off the black backing behind the letters (so only the chrome letters were red) it all peeled off in one sheet since these are all one piece and not separate letters...only other way I can think is to get some red PD in a bottle and pour some in a shallow container and actually dip the letters only...any other ideas?
Wheels came out great though!!!
