To start off my name is Brent and I live in Northern Virginia. Well I have been a mustang owner of 6 years now in 2010 I traded in my 2008 GT for a 2011 V6 and it was my worst decision ever. Don't get me wrong the 3.7 is a great engine and fast but i received a Lemon with 9 problems covering more then 38 days in the shop so far.

I began walking around my dealership and as I went to go speak with my friend, that has gotten me a a deal every time I have bought from him I saw...this.(scroll past pics for the rest of story)

On the Lot they have it advertised at $32,500.... internet price of $29,491 and my buddy is giving me $28,280 Military/Friend pricing. The car only has 5,150 miles on it and looks pretty mint. What do you guys think? With the options and USAA pricing for a 2013 same options is $36,522 so it is a $8240 difference. Right now i'm just trying to get out of the doomsday mustang until I start collecting my BAH for my GI Bill, my wife said i can save up 20k from the BAH and put it down on something brand new in 2016 (Mustang/Challenger) I'm not looking to race or drag just have a cruiser to work, home and the weekends. Any help is appreciated!

Welcome from RVA. Nice! Good choice. You can mod w/o having to worry about the PCM being locked down by Chrysler, if you ever change your mind.

I think best way to determine if you have the STP option is look at your shocks. If you have bilesteins, you have the STP. Not totally sure about that though, I bet someone with more knowledge will speak up.

I think that sounds like a great deal, with the low miles. Get it, you will never look back and regret it. I love the black with black r/t stripes, killer.

That's a nice looking Challenger. Where's the pictures of the Chally that you speak of though? I have yet to see one, and people all over this forum have been talking about them.

anyway to tell if I have the Track Pack? I believe those are 20's

*Track Pack = 6-speed option group
-6-speed Tremec
-3.91 gearing (Classic has 20" wheels by default) w/ 6-speed
-Anti-spin Getrag 226mm diff.
-variable displacement p/s pump
-Hill Start Assist
-bright pedal trim

The Super Track Pack would be and addtional option (code AWD) that adds:
*Goodyear 20" F1 tires
*Full off ESP-capablility (simply pressing ESP button)
*larger rear 20mm sway bar
*SRT spec rear shock valving

Cars built after ~ Sep/Oct 2010 would have been the initial ones when STP was available. The best bet if the window sticker isn't available is to have dealer look up VIN and call up what options the car is built with.

I've seen STP cars built with Nivomat shocks as well, so there's a lot of variances where some 6-speed/STP have Bilsteins (black color) or Sachs Nivomats.

I've seen '11 6-speed/STP R/T's with Nivomats as well.

Welcome and be prepared to get it for saying the word "Cha!!y".

My 12 STP classic, has two ESP options. one press it dings and disables some of it. (not sure what) and holding it down while not moving, fully disables it. Consitant message in the evic that says it is disabled!

Congrats on the challenger. I have an 09 classic. I was the first in Virginia Beach to order a classic in black. At the time no one had them. There was one other guy who ordered the B 5 Blue. Both our cars came in the same day. The challenger is a great car and the RT runs good.

@elie, unfortunatley I have to work until Wednesday morning but I have a nice drive up I-495 to 95N into DC so at least a little nice drive but on weds, thurs, Fri I will prolly be using the rest of my tank of gas :-p.
