So I finally took my 09 SRT into the dealer to have a recall done (battery cables) and have them fix the 2nd gear grinding issue.

As you all know this was a common issue on 09 manual transmissions. My dealer quoted me over $600 to repair. I AM having them do this work as They have a solid reputation and I just want it fixed.

My question is, would you try to get some kind of reimbursement from Chrysler?

The EVIC started at 19.6 at the beginning of the trip, once I got back home it was at 24.9. This leads me to ask, is the EVIC calculating mileage based on the assumption that the MDS system is engaging, or did my car really do that well on fuel?
