There has been some discussion on another board about a 6-speed with a shift gate.

The consensus was:

With a shorter throw shifter (believe it or not the stock throw is fairly short) the gate would look more like finger indentations than the long slots you see on the pantera picture.

Yes, please do! I think the stock pistol grip is perfect and I can feel the gates quite well, but the linkage just feels weak and a tad sloppy. It was much tighter new. I verified that the two bolts holding the handle are tight.

Man, I didn't even realize that Ronnie was gone. I last saw him at the Mopar Nationals on the first year at Indy (90s). He was driving a Viper and his times were a half-second faster than anyone else I had seen or read about in a Viper. Mr. Four Speed, RIP..

eliminator, do you have a DS & custom tune? I thought the auto shifted at about 5500 5800rpm? Seems to me shifting at redline would work against you unless you have some other mods to change the power band?

Anyone know if the shift points for the auto are the same for each gear?

From what I can found tell, the RT is the only model they will not let you raise the shift on. Someone correct me if I am wrong....but the RT is definetly not permitted with the Predator.

My shift points are the same for each gear.

Best I can tell you really have to beat the crap out of a 6 speed car to match the autos ETs, some people just are not willing to do that, eventually you are gonna rip the tranny out of it.
