Put mine on today. I have the stock air box set up with the silencer still in for now. Ill have a cia ( vararam or ae carbon) someday. Anyway it does mount nicely behind the washer fluid bottle. Not as nice as when it mounts to the engine, but overall not too bad. I used spacers and raised my engine cover to fit over the hoses for now.

Thanks for the video and for the tip about not needing clamps, I've been losing sleep over finding the right color clamps.

About the silencer on the R/T. I got this idea from Raydar on that CAI thread. There is so much CAI talk and speculation that I can't decide which way to go. In the mean time I bought an SRT air intake online ($50 delivered) so that I can install a catch can up front. I'm waiting to hear from BT about buying one with the knurled bottom (do I have to pay an extra $42?). Hopefully I'll have it all together in a couple weeks.

One thing that helps is rotate the upper radiator clamp to the 10:00 postition. And always check can on a cool engine..

Emptied mine this past weekend after 2,000 miles. It's no big deal. Like posted above, wait for the engine to cool and just unscrew it. Mine has the stippled bottom making it easier.

If you change it every 2,000 - 3,000 miles it shouldn't be full enough to spill any. Mine had about 1.5oz of fluid in it.

Thanks for the vid Speedy. Gave me confidence to try putting in the catch can again today after an aborted attempt yesterday afternoon. With an AFE stage II CAI there is very little room for the long hose to connect to the catch can. It was quite a squeeze to get it all back together but looks right to me. And routing the hoses the way you showed really helped, but it looks like I may have to trim the engine cover or just leave it off because it doesn't seem to like the catch can hoses or the size of the AFE air tube where it connects to the TB.
