1974 Challenger Motor Mounts

Hello...I am new to this board. My husband is reinstalling the engine in my freshly painted Challenger, and we're having issues with the motor mounts. We've ordered replacement mounts, but they come in identical sizes for the left and right side. We've tried NAPA and Autozone, and though the book says there is a left and right side, when you put the mounts next to the original, both mounts are the larger mount size. The passenger side on the 74 had a smaller mount to accomodate the frame. Has anyone ever run into this issue of getting correct mounts? I don't know if it's specific to the 74 model only. Any advice on where to find the correct mounts would be greatly appreciated!

Pick up a copy of Mopar Muscle. There are several company's that advertise in there that sell motor mounts for any possible mopar configuration. I'm sure one of them can help you.

Re: 1974 Challenger Motor Mounts

Thanks guys! We contacted a local dealership, and they referred us to a Chicago area dealer, who didn't have the parts, but he knew a company that made them but couldn't remember the name. I wish I'd have known this was going to be an issue so I could have taken my mounts to Columbus in August and dealt with it then. I am getting Mopar Muscle for Christmas, so I definitley check out ads.
