Classic Challengers in Movies

I just saw last night this f-up'd movie Quentin Tarantino style with a '70 Chally 440 in White get all smashed up'd (with three broads ridin it - one on the hood) against a '69 Black Charger (with Kurt Russell drivin') .

Some pretty cool car chase/smashin'/stunts and some sick humor , gotta admire Q. T. and the Rodriguez's except for smashing those Mopars

Check it out : Grindhouse (2007)

Alrighty , anyone know of any other movies with Classic Challengers in them , besides Vanishing Point ?

Yeah, that's "Death Proof". See the thread by enigmic "What To Do". He has a poll there.
Weird but cool movie. Still a waste of a couple of cool rides.

Re: Classic Challengers in Movies

Yup , I answered it too with it was a fine movie and he did what he had to ...... ok it's one less (of each) but at least they're immortalized with this movie , sad but I'm not gonna go crazy over this hey !

I guess we can discuss it more here (on-topic) . Man I was all hard on that Chally interior with Pistol Grip / Wood Grain Trim / and that woody steer'wheel - I had a similar one (more like the one in that movie Yellow Mustang with them swiss holes in the spokes) - love the feel of the wood in my grips I can still feel it !

MY question though was (see last line of my OP)

Funny , can't think of any, but I wonder too, how many movies will get made with our new Chally ?

Re: Classic Challengers in Movies

oh almost forgot . Ashton Kutcher is driving a 70 Challenger flat hood car in a movie called Just Married. its tough to watch, not just because the acting and story line but because he runs the Challenger through a bunch of concrete flower pots (while I'm screaming in horror NO!NO! WHY!? WHY!? ) bashin up the front end. I haven't watched Death Proof because I know what I'll see. the dukes of hazzard used to watch it ,can't now due to the heartbreak on every show. I hate hollywood they always kill the irreplaceable old cars and the ricers are the heroes.

Re: Classic Challengers in Movies

thx for your contribution Bopar !

The way I see it
1) the cars are immortalized on screen which is a big plus !
2) There's always many cars more left than the ONE they're bashing up in movie ..... exception - Dukes .... but back then they had a ton of them available .... today there's still a whole bunch left ....
3) I know it hurts watching these cars get hurt - it's out of our control .... just think like above two points and it should help to watch heheh

Alrighty guys , I'm sure there's other movies . What I liked about the Grindhouse (2nd part Death Proof) is we get to see the Chally & Charger a whole long period time and get to see the interior too !
