Well, here she is in all her glory. Came with a white vinyl top from the factory to match the stripe and interior, but the previous owner opted to delete it.
My other car is a 71 Charger S.E. with a 440, but I'm not sure how appropriate it would be to post pics in a Challenger forum...LOL.
Not anymore, but a basic 73 was my first car. I could not afford to drive it (insurance) so I tinkered with it adding a RT hood and cleaning it a lot until someone pointed out to me that the frame was cracked and beyond repair. 500 bucks for that car that I didnt have. Well, I may not have a new 73, but my 2008 SRT8 is pretty sweet payback. Still have a soft spot for the old ones though!
have a 72 just a plain jane 318 car when I got her, dropped a 383 from my RR and drove the heck out of it and now in the work for a 440. I need to get a new set of heads though, I broke a stud off one of the bolts when I was installing the headers, tried to drill and tap it out but made it worse. Oh well now she'll have to wait till I return from the desert. Still working on getting a new one too tho!
I have 71 that is equipped with a 400 horse 340, a tremec 600 5 speed.
Set up as a Trans/Am car etc etc...... Minilites wheels are the next big purchase unless anyone knows of a set that I can buy.
We have a 74 that might be done by next summer maybe in time for the nats. Dropping a 6.1 hemi in. Their is some disscussion on if it will be a 727 or 6-speed. Will be made to match the 08 we have.
I have a 74 challenger, as of know it is in pieces...but next summer will be on the road...painting it Viper snake skin green...looks pretty crazy...building a 360 with 420-440hp should be fun!
Ouch sorry to hear that about your 74. If you have the money and want another 70-74 Challenger I can probably locate a nice driver. Don't know what you're looking for price wise but, 10k-15k will buy a nice Challenger or Barracuda.
not a challenger, but i ave a 73 barracuda... same thing
