1972 Challenger. Orig. 318 car, but now with a 440/727. Still a few grand away from driving her, but getting the ambition and the money built up quickly. Lots of parts lieing around the garage that I'm going to get on her after the new years rush at work slows down.

70 Challenger F/C did you race back in the seventies? My best friend grew up near Half moon bay in the late sixties and early seventies before they closed in 74? I go to the Goodguys every year with him. saw a lot of MoPar SuperStockers too!

Re: How Many Folks Own a 70-74 Challenger?

I was too young to drive then. Got my licence in 1983 and the first car I bought was a 71 charger and started collecting mopars from then on. I have owned the funny car for about 15 years now. When I bought it there was an original sox and martin super stock duster sitting right next to it. I am going to have to ask my friend what ever happened to it now that I am thinking about it.

70 F/C Cool man, You should try and find out what happened to that S&M Duster, maybe it was driven by Herb McCandless? Man, that thing is worth some $$$, good luck in your investigative search on it!

Re: How Many Folks Own a 70-74 Challenger?

Im pretty ignorant on the net, I cant get these damned files to reduce in "size" to include the pics that are small enough. The only computers around when I was growing up were on star trek. Challenger F/C where do you live? Im from cen. Ind. they have the "goodguys" events all over the country, the "floppers" and "slingshots", here at INDY in June they will have everything from the sixties 1974 is the cutoff date, you outta check it out, maybe someone would remember your F/C!
