Sounds like everyone has some awsome cars! I would love to see some pics.
My Chally is a 74 360 rallaye car,but now has a 440.She also has 4:10 gears and Flowmaster exhaust. My boyfriends Cuda.
So with these two beauts and your Brother's Challenger =a Mopar Happy Family !! I'm wondering if a line of E-Bodies were lined up ;say at the start and end of I-80 .... at what point would they meet ? ? I wonder who might know ?? ?
1972 Challenger 340/ 4 barrel, 727 Slap stick auto 8 3/4 suregrip rearend, hedders/w duals, 73k original miles. Numbers matching. In the process of being restored it is rusty but it is a sling shot........
I've got the Challenger's sister -a '71 'Cuda 340. I've had it for about 25 years or so. About 20 years ago my friend took this picture on the beach...
About a month ago I took another picture in my garage (I've got lots more on the whole process).
It's on it's way back - my goal is to drive it to the showroom to buy my new Challenger (no, I'm not trading it in! ).

Sadly they'd never meet. I-80 is 2899.54 miles long. If you lined up all the 165,437 Challengers built between 1970 and 1974, you'd get a line that was 2,637,065.78 feet, or 499.44 miles long. Throw in the 113,933 Barracudas built between 1970 and 1974 and you get an additional 1,772,797.48 feet, or 335.76 miles. All told, you'd ONLY come up with 835.2 miles worth of E-bodies, give or take . If you split that in half, you'd end up with a line 417.6 miles long at each end, with over 2000 miles between the bumpers on the end cars. Granted the car length numbers are taken from 1970 Challenger and Barracuda specs. Sure the ugly black bumper pads that were added after 1971 would add a little additional length, but not nearly enough to make up the distance .
I-80
2899.54 miles
1970 - 1974 Challengers
165,437 cars
191.3 inches = 15.94 feet
2,637,065.78 car feet = 499.44 miles
1970 - 1974 Barracudas
113,933 cars
186.7 inches = 15.56 feet
1,772,797.48 car feet = 335.76 miles

I have a 72 Plum Crazy Purple Challenger. It is a numbers matching, white interiored, factory A/C, survivor. It was repainted about 12 years ago by a previous owner and an R/T hood was installed beyond that she is untouched.
