OFFICIAL: I'm not trading in for the next new thing

Watching the threads about the new RT 392, TA, Daytona and Demon, the amount of people getting ready to trade in/up (some with newer cars less than a year old) is amazing. people are ready to trade in to get the next new exciting thing.
I was wondering how many of you are perfectly happy with what you have right now and have no interest in trading for the next new name, decal package or horse power when they are announced or released. .
I myself being one of those that look forward to seeing the new packages being released but have no interest in trading in/up for one.
I think it's great if you have the $$$ to trade for the next new toy and look forward to seeing you (or at least your tail lights) all on the road.
A New Cuda Clone may change MY mind about trading

I am with you! Nearing retirement I was thinking of upgrading but not anymore. I just put on some replica
Hellcat wheels and I am happy with my car.

Only trade up I'd be doing is for a used Hellcat in couple years when they drop some more. My 2012 YJ is nice but I want more power and the new tech is getting my interest.

The Demon isn't out yet and you can bet Dodge is already planning on the next Challenger that will one up it. Maybe it will have the same HP and drivetrain, but it ill be downsized so the power to weight ratio will be higher. I plan on retiring as well, so I'd rather drop that kind of money into something that appreciates, not depreciates!

My friend just bought a 2016 hellcat and is kicking himself about this Demon news.
Dodge will give you 2 coats of paint with future rust but they will lurk you back in like a drug dealer.
And we love it.

Lifetime ride for me. Got what I wanted, just the way I wanted it.

New offerings are a good thing, but only one ride has my interest and attention. Totally happy with what I have:

I bought my car new and have taken crazy good care of it. I broke it in properly and have made some upgrades to my liking to it. It has WAY more power than I need and rides like a dream. I will do a few more mods here and there, but this is it. This is my baby and I am keeping it. I may buy a beater some where down the road, but this is my pride and joy. I too will share in others joy that do buy those top tier cars, but since you will never be the fastest, I will watch you all fly by me, as I play some Steely Dan, "Who's the Gaucho now"!
Peace!
Tom.
