Guess your the guys to ask.

How much power can the stock 5.7 take on a turbo or sc? How much power is it even capable of putting out stock with a blower?

Re: Guess your the guys to ask.

I'll guess 550 at the crank, but PPP Tim is the guy to ask.

Re: Guess your the guys to ask.

Yep i would say 500-550, The crank and pistons I think are the weak links on the 5.7.

Even the 6.1 i think the pistons are the weakest links. Tim would know for sure!

Re: Guess your the guys to ask.

Well using the C.I.S. turbo system as an example. Their 300C and Charger with 6psi made 390-400whp and 485-495 torque. The cars were totally stock except for the turbo system. Since a supercharger takes a few more hp to create boost vs a turbo, expect the hp to be slightly lower.

Some are making more power with the stock internals, BUT in an effort to keep it safe and reliable, I think staying at 6psi or less (4-5psi) is key.
