Question 2012 SRT8 on the lot--how much would you pay?

There's a dealer in FL that has several SRT8s on the lot, as well as plenty of R/Ts and SXTs.

They have an SRT8 pretty much exactly how I want it, and the sticker price is roughly $47k.

Edmunds "True Market Value" is $45,400. There aren't any rebates or incentives for any SRT model, so what would be a good offer?

Offer invoice as that is the easiest/cleanest to go after.

go into the dealer and say "who wants to sell me a car !??"

then point at the Challenger and say "I'll sign papers within 30 minutes if someone wnats to give me that one for $43K".

if no one wants to work with you, go find another dealership that will.

if you want THAT ONE specifically, ask for the GM and tell him to put his best salesman in charge of getting you that car for $43K.

if it still doesn't work, you will have to go elsewhere....

If you know exactly which one you want, what do they need a salesman for? All he's gonna do is have to ask the GM to approve the price anyways (which he's gonna wanna make sure still has room for his commission). Why not just go to the GM and just talk to the GM?

No salesman needed if you already know what you want. It's just a matter of will they give you your price or not. Buyer's market...

I have seen $2k to $5k discounts. Go on the Dodge web site and build your own and then go to the dealers in your area or within 200 miles.
You will see a lot of Yellow Challengers at the dealerships. Right now I don't see these cars really selling because this is not an every day car for most people.
I have seen the same cars on ebay for months and not moving.
