Agreed...I can see it as a blast to have at the track...try launching with the launch control, then see if YOU can do just as good a job (or better) on your own without it. I would definitely be against it's use in competitive racing though...IMO it takes away from the spirit of competition, like having a head start assist.
Heck, people might be using it at the track in competition now for all I know...
That is the reason to have launch control. It gets you off the line faster then you can do it yourself most of the time with out the risk of breaking something, at least on a six speed. Now you can argue weather or not that detracts from the idea of racing but then you can make the same arguement about automatic transmissions, adaptive suspension, etc

Point taken....maybe in the case of a stick vs. an automatic, the guy with the stick should be able to use launch control...they need all the help they can get!
lol Just kidding...
Maybe in the future along with our launch control, ESC and TQ management, we can add shift control, steering and brake controls...add a remote control too! Then we can all stand on the sidelines and race 'em like slot cars!

I have a 2013 SRT M6 built mid October. I have been unable to find any option for Launch Control settings. I do get a message when I shut down saying "Launch Control Unavailable"!
WTF?

Some of the "racers" here should LOVE that. I mean, just imagine the weight savings of not having a driver - [It's all about the win, right?] LOL!!!

Maybe you do have it and that message automatically displays when you shut the car off. Did you read the first post of this thread and follow the directions to really see if you have it or not?
There may also be instructions in the Owners Manual or CD.

I read Resumespeeds instructions and assume that the "ESC" button is traction control. If not, please advise. I have also looked all thought the EVIC pages and can find no launch RPM adjustment for launch control. I would assume it would be under the performance controls page, but have looked under user settings also.
Same with my 2013. No mention anywhere in the owners manual of this feature. Also, the 3rd edition of the SRT owners manual was just published online this week and there is no mention there either.
A quick check of all current SRT owners manuals and user guides (all 3rd editions published in the past week) make zero reference to the feature.
Finally, there seem to be ZERO YouTube videos of owners using this on any SRT8 yet.
