Belly pan install

I messed up my belly pan today by running up onto a curb that obviously I did not see. How hard is this piece to change out? Looks like the front chin spoiler is a PITA but how about the belly pan? Thanks!

The "C" shaped panel and the oil filter access panel are easy. Self explanatory when you get under there. The spoiler does not need to come off to replace those panels. But if you hit the chin spoiler head on, you also broke the lower grille. The grille may look OK but it actually extends down and into the void of the chin spoiler to provide support. Wiggle the spoiler and see if it's loose or you hear a thump noise. If it is broken the entire front fascia has to come off to replace the lower grille and spoiler.

Ok thanks I'll check. Just from looking under the car damage seems to be pretty far back but I tore it up pretty good. There was no visible damage to the chin spoiler.

The fascia isn't terribly complicated to replace either if you need to. Basically a bunch of push-pins and a few bolts. You can get a new fascia, pre-primed from your dealer for about $300. If you want to save money, take the new fascia to a paint shop to have it sprayed, and then swap the fascias out yourself. Here's a post with instructions and photos:

Looks to be just the belly pan. It actually tore off in the back. I ran up onto the edge of the curb and the edge hit the belly pan then when I backed up kinda tore out a chunk.

Easy to do - 4 bolts: 2 in front (recessed behind front spoiler) and 2 at the rear corners.

Slide belly pan rearward to clear the front attachment and you're ready to install the replacement.

Yep... easy to do... takes about 5 minutes to remove, and 5 minutes to put back on.
