Black SRT8 vs. Phantom Black Tri Coat

Hi all,
First, thanks for all the help - these forums have been a great source of info. I'm wondering if anyone has seen the Black clear coat vs. the Phantom Black tri coat...Is one of them a blacker black? And is the blacktop edition going to be in an SRT8 or just the other Chally's?

From what I've seen, the phantom black is just like the old brilliant black pearl from 2010.

And no, the blacktop package will only be available on the RT unfortunately. You can always recreate it with a black SRT.

Pitch Black is the darkest shade of black

any metallic / pearl will lighten up the appearance and look more gray / charcoal.

The Blacktop edition is only on R/T and R/T Plus models.

Thanks for the help. I'm leaning toward picking up an SRT8 in Black clear coat this week - just wondering if the black will be black enough.....

Imagine wet black ink (like fountain pen ink, for those that remember...) that's Pitch Black Clear coat!

Phantom Black will change with lighting, but in direct light it's going to have more of a charcoal look to it. Pitch Black is just black, no flake.
