Well I am a living testament that there is no drone and yes I have the American Thunder Super 40's setup/system. I cant speak for everyone else who has this system but I am happy and resonance free.

I guess your system is "special" because even Flowmaster states it on there website that they do drone.

I suggest anyone considering a new exhaust to do there own homework and not rely on any one persons testimony including myself.

Regarding mufflers/pipes and think most people associate "higher price" with being better. In some cases this could be true especially regarding the metal. Flowmaster Super 40's uses a 409 stainless. Corsa stainless is a little better, Zoomers uses a 304 stainless and so on. Which of these three has the better sound is totally ones opinion but I really think some people believe "if you are paying more for it, it sounds better", and if you are paying less you will have drone lol.

If I have 409 stainless steel versus your 304 stainless who is gonna rust quicker? Answer is after having the exhaust for 15 years I will start to probably show rust with my 409s you will start to show it after 17 given same driving conditions and weather for example. Well after 7 years maybe way less then that there will be something new and improved.

Video: SRT8 Challenger Gets Flowmasters At Jay Leno’s Big Dog Garage - StreetLegalTV

This video is for a Challenger with Flowmaster 40's cat back. Skip to 3:13 when it drops into high gear. That is what cabin drone sounds like.

I have the American Thunder on my SRT8 and sounds great but I would suggest against them unless you want RUSTY exhaust tips because you will get them with FM.

Also, for everyone complaining about "drone". Put don't your purse, stop being a vag.

I have heard them all and driven most of them with the exhaust setup mention throughout this thread, and like I said before out of all system I like the Flowmasters the best regarding sound, just my opinion. I have no drone and for those who have it with the Flowmasters system I'm sorry to hear that and for those who are undecided thinking no due to drone rumors or whatever you want to call it, get something else, as the saying goes"whatever floats your boat".

If you want your car to sound like a Playstation 3 race game get Corsa, if you want your car to sound like a Rice Rocket get Zoomers. If you want your car to sound like a natural muscle car get Flowmaters. JUST MY OPINION.
