my SRT8300C was quick, but would get drug by it's own ball sack by a 392 up over 100mph.
i did a quick pull from 80-159mph in my old 6.1 after it had just got done being CMR'd by Brian@SNL - it was nice, but not even close to the stupidness described as the "392 top end".
it's not even close - and whoever thinks it is, must be high on angel dust.

there is a much closer gap between the 5.7 and 6.1 than the 6.1 to 6.4.........6.1 to 6.4 is not even close.....
LOL - well you really wanting something to be true and saying some funny things vs. it actually true are not the same thing.
My 6.1 300 pulled like a freight train right up through 3rd gear, which took it to 120 or so. From 40 to 120 I would say it is just as fast as my 392 is, granted this Challenger is a 6 speed and just a baby at 1700 miles. I also haven't been past 110mph in it yet. I've ran through 3rd at WOT and shifted into 4th, then let up shortly thereafter.
Perhaps my 300 was quite a bit faster than yours, I don't know what else to say. Did you ever run yours at the track? What times did you get? Mine was CMR dyno tuned with an intake and exhaust.
This guy is a member at LX forums, his 300 runs 12.4-12.5 at ATCO in the fall at 112 or so, best I could ever get was
12.5@112 in Ohio, that was with a good - but not amazing - 1.9 60 foot.
And this is my friend Mike back in Cincinnati, his Charger ran like my 300 did. He ran DRs and gutted his interior for weight savings, his best is 11.7 "superstock", this run is in dayton Ohio on a DA~500 day when we were first working on getting his e.t.s down. Listen to that Corsa catback

Street tire stock 392s do 12.2 or 12.4, in ideal DAs, a couple tenths better than a tuned 6.1, and the trap speeds are the same. So the 392 pulls better down low, the motors have a similar top end pull. Why is that so hard for you to accept?
