A dealer friend told he was selling jeep srt's like hot cakes then began to explain that those jeeps are faster than our cars...I serious doubt that with the weight I know it has 4 wheel drive. Way do you guys think?
Nah, the 6.1 Jeeps are probably faster than the new 392 models just because the new ones are in fact so heavy. They would not touch a 392 Challenger.
Tell him to put his money where his mouth is
People that work at dealerships, I mean you just never know. It's sad that it is rare that you bump into someone who truly does know what they are talking about, I mean they are out there but it's not the norm.

The funny thing is how proud they are of the Jeep, you go to the SRT experience and all the SRT people say things like "Wow, look at that Jeep go" and I remember thinking yeah, it's just like my car only slower LOL

It must be a high-profit margin vehicle for them.
In Canada especially; a relative bought a 2013 Jeep 392 and the total price after tax was $73,000!
I can also tell you from experience comparing the two that, while the Jeep is SUPER nice, it can't hold a candle to a Challenger 392. It honestly doesn't feel impressive at all...definitely quick for what it is, but doesn't blow you away like the first time you stomped on a Challenger SRT did.
At, what, 5500lbs or whatever, I don't really expect it to.
The 6.1L Jeep SRTs were a force to be reckoned with. On a race tune, intake, exhaust and Vredestein tires, I've seen a 6.1L Jeep SRT hit 12.3 in the 1/4mi. This is accounting for a 1.7s 60ft. If you're getting a Jeep SRT, get a used 6.1L version.
The 392 Jeeps are nice but they have definitely become porky in weight and cost.

Even on the driveSRT website it says the 2012+ SRT Jeep is good for "mid-13 second 1/4 miles"

I was at the track a few weeks back and there was a 2012 Jeep srt8. Guy was doing low 9's where I was doing 7.9 - 8.2. at the Srt track experience drove one braking was worse than I would have imagined.
