I recently purchased a 2012 Redline SRT8 and absolutely love the car! My question is can anyone tell me what 1/4 mile times they're turning with a stock standard shift 392?

I was hoping the car would run mid 12's or at least that's what was posted on Road & Track, Edmond's, etc . Was a little shocked when I saw different youtube videos on SRT's runing low to mid 13's. Can't wait till the track opens so I can see what this baby will do

Start practicing launches in a remote area where you can't get in trouble. A lot has to do with launch. A lot also has to do with power shifting if you don't have an auto. I see a lot of guys at the track that apparently do not know what power shifting is and it's a must if you want to get a best time.
Last summer was the first time I ever went to a strip and in my 2010 6.1 manual with stock f1's my best was a 13.4 something with many times in the 13.7's-13.9's. I think with a little practice and a good day you should be in the high twelves. My times were w/o risking the car, no high revs on launch, no power shifting (well tried a few times but that did not work out right). Good Luck!
I went 12.46 on a crappy track before getting boosted. The launch is the key. You need sub 1.9s and good shifts to break 12.50. Even the autos require some pretty good launching technique to break 12.50! Plus a Hop Nop kit is nice to keep the rearend from bouncing on the starting line.
