I'd say you're better going to a road track (like VIR) rather than NASCAR track. For example, at Lowes Motor Speedway, the hot laps are on a very short circuit, so your 2-lap sprints don't last very long. Also, for the events I've been to, the participants don't get to drive the Viper, it is only used for the ridealongs at the end (and only 20% of the attendants get to go in it).
I'd second that, I just went to one at Watkins Glen, it was great being on a track that was designed for speed and racing the full length. I did Michigan MIS a few years ago and they had a short banked section (still got up over 120 in the 6.1 SRTs) but then they had carved up the infield into some twisties, it was a little goofy -- but still fun.

Going to VIR sounds like great advice. My boss takes his Porche Boxster there a few times a year and loves it. A good mix of speed and twisties. Really looking forward to it!

From what I understand when I talked to the guy who runs the driving school they are pretty relaxed on the issue.
We talked to him at a trade show this past weekend. My brother was worried about his time frame since you only have a year to sign up...he was waiting for me to buy mine so we could go together. Guy said just call if you start to run out of time they will work with you.
I would think if you would call them and explain the situation they would most likely get you in.
You have one year to sign up but you can reschedule and take the track experience later (after your "year" is up).
They are pretty flexible. They want to get people into the event. I have been every year for 7 years and will go again in 2013. Favorite venues were Watkins Glen anf NJ Motorsports Park, least favorite was Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth and Englishtown, NJ. I have heard VA Motor Speedway is a great place to go for the Track Experience day.

Did the f1 karting at thunderbolt, definitely looked like a cool track. The karting was fun as hell.

Considering we bought a car that had it included in the production cost it should NEVER expire. They know by the vin number if it has been redeemed or not. An expiration date gives them money they didn't earn.
