Had one tip that has been bugging me for sometime and needed to be straightened out anyway. I like the stainless tips, but they were always half black anyway. imp:
Still not going to be confused for a hellcat with my plate though.
I did my exhaust tips about 3 weeks ago.
I have Blastin'Bob's glasspak reso deletes on my R/T.
I painted the entire system with high temp gloss black paint,
including the tips.
Part of my blackout program!

That really does look much better! WRT the Plastidip, with that being more of a rubber coating that some say can peel, do you think a high temp matte black spray paint would be better? I realize the tips don't get really hot but I would have some concern about longevity with it being a rubber coating on a warm surface. Thinking about doing it now that I see how good it looks, but only want to do it once.
I watched a few videos prior where people had it on for a few months (exhaust tips) with no visible effects. I like this because it reversible, but it's very durable. I sprayed two chrome strips on the front spoiler of my girlfriend's Genesis Coupe 3 years ago and they still look great. No heat, but takes a beating being up front and 3 years of pressure washing too boot.
