Thumbs down MOPAR EXHAUST PROBLEM - Not Happy with MOPAR on this one.

I got the MOPAR Cat-Back Exhaust installed by a Chrysler dealer and as it turns out there was a defect with both the tips. The tips have a hole drilled in the 'center' and then are welded to fit the custom rear end of a Challenger.

The driver's tip is way off and is clearly not level.

The passenger tip's hold was driller off center and therefore the tip is now kissing the left side of the ground effects, and it looks terrible when you look at is straight on.

Thanks again MOPAR for selling me an overpriced piece of crap that you won't even replace. MOPAR has told me and the parts dept at the dealer that they are to 'bang out the problem' and by no means will they replace the tips or exhaust.

What would you guys do if this happened to your own Challenger. It's like nobody want's it to look good.

Check out the pics...

I brought my SRT with it already install. I had to get the dealer to fix the tips to be level and equal on both sides.

At this point, I'd cut your losses/aggravation and take it to a performance shop you trust and have them play around with it.

I've installed quite a few MOPAR systems and they are fully adjustable to elliminate the problem we are seeing in these pictures. It looks like someone just installed the system without paying attention to the tip alignment. I'd take it back to the dealer and ask them to fix the alignment.

Yup, sounds like they have to adjust the pipes somehwere along the route. Have them loosen up the clamps and adjust.

There is nothing wrong with your exhaust, that is the way it was designed... Thet need to be adjusted and they will line up perfect...

yep, it is a definite install problem not the kit. just get under the car with some tools and get to work on it. shouldnt take much to adjust it correctly

I have the same problem on the drivers side...

Plan on fixing this weekend. I don't think it is the exhaust I agree with the others, it is the install.
