I unfortunately am stuck with it. Wife refuses to learn to drive stick. I technically bought the car for her, but I wish I had just shown up with a 6 speed now and let her deal. I cannot afford to buy 17 of these cars like some people on the forum can.
The auto stick feature is ok, but if you just romp it a bit in drive it sounds like crap and doesn't have the "feel" I have had from other cars in the past.
I did a little research through the forums and learned about the changing shift with driving style pattern, but I still think it sucks. It seems to shift at the weirdest times, not like a "muscle" car should. An example would be it shifting to early and falling on its face, and of course this is magnified by the loud exhaust. I have a predator, mopar CAI and full JBA exhaust, but the shifts are killing it. Has there been any solve or way yet to make this thing shift like I *think* it should?
Shift it manually, you can hold it in any gear as long as you want.

I have started manually shifting it, but the shift is still slow and doesn't feel like a performance shift. I guess I am trying to compare it to past 4L60E's (which you could easliy modify to shift harder) I have had in Camaros I have had in the past.
I think the autostick is great. For the diehard manual guy it probably disappoints. Some days I just want to sit back and relax and just cruise around these NY streets without moving my left leg every other second.

I sometimes auto shift my SRT like a 6 speed, I have even been asked at stop lights how I like the 6 speed as compared to and automatic and I say" no man its and automatic, 6 speed wanna be" LOL

Which raises the question: have you tuned it? Since the Predator tune my car will shift hard enough to bark second and sometimes third.
I never had any of the problems you speak of. I think a valve body mod would help the shifting huge but the lack of power is a phone call away just go to the vendor section
