Stock SRT tires are rock chuckers

Has anyone noticed that the stock Goodyear tires on the SRT tend to throw an aweful lot of rocks at your car?

Re: Stock SRT tires are rock chuckers

Mine seems to pick up every small rock as well. Its really bad when its chilly out and the small almost sand like stuff sticks to the tires.

Re: Stock SRT tires are rock chuckers

Are these the "P245/45ZR20 all-season performance" or "P245/45ZR20 front P255/45ZR20 rear performance" tires?

I made the mistake of driving my Jeep for a few thousand miles with the sticky Goodyear tires on it, and ended up with countless chips in the paint. I can rationalize that away by saying "its just a Jeep". But my first edition SRT Challenger is not just a Jeep. So I'm not going to make the same mistake with the Challenger, these tires are coming off right away.

For the Challenger I am going to go with a set of Toyo Proxes S/T tires, with a 295/40 size in back, and a 255/45 size in front. They will need to be mounted on aftermarket wheels with the proper offset and width to get that size of tire to fit, but that is what I am planning.
