Thinking of this....dynatech supermaxx headers with high flow cats and midpipes. next Cherry Bomb vortex cat back exhaust system. finally an airaid CAI kit. the questions i have #1 should the headers be coated and what are the advantages of coating? what do you guys think of this combo? anyone have an idea of the HP/TQ gains of this systems will be?

thx for the replies in advance

If you have stainless steel I wouldn't worry about it, as they will not rust. However, if your headers are a milder steel like aluminized it wouldn't hurt to get them coated.

Stay away from header wraps! I hear those can be a fire hazard.

The coating does more than reduce rust or look good. Jet Hot coating also reduces temperature. Many are even coating the inside of the headers too, which reduces temperatures even more.
