They are two different muffler designs. Flowmaster uses chambers in the muffler to flow the gases, where as Magnaflow is a straight through design. Magnaflow will perform better, Flowmaster will sound better IMO. The quality, fit, and tips are better on the Magnaflow, though.

So you don't get any drone with these? I have flowmaster american thunder and thru the first three gears, around 2k I do get some drone. I can deal with it, but would consider changing if you are saying they really have no drone. I also have the LMI Hammer.

Just installed MF 16510 street series catback. I didn't want a real loud exhaust and ended up with the sound I wanted. There is a bit of drone when at lower RPMs around the. 2000 mark. Sounds real nice inside and out. The thing that I noticed immediately was throttle response. Had to increase some H P. but not sure how much. Need to get it dynoed.
ok so a bud of mine said i should take a look at Corsa ove Flowmaster and Magnaflow. Any thoughts family?
Corsa is more of a refined sound, but you will get zero drone. Very nice looking system...had it on my old RT. I wanted something a little deeper, but if you have the cash I haev not heard of anyone that was disappointed with the Corsa Xtreme.
- MF 16885 Sound is just stellar, Ferrari's next to MF sound like ricers
- Great looking high quality round chrome tips, that don't look cheap
- With a catch can they will stay clean longer (my experience)
- Personally square tips make no sense; have you seen a square shaped exhaust tubing lately?
- Performance: i say i got 15hp increase, may be some of you will laugh
- The only other product/combo i would consider if my car was not used for both soccer mum trips and week end track is this combo; this is one of the reasons I bought a Challenger and i know one day i will take the one hour drive to SLP and do it....
The E tips are square but SLP will make them round for you...
Cheers

Hi , doing a resonator delete and mufflers , I was going with Magnaflow part #11235 but garage said I would be happier with Flowmaster 40's part #8042443 , what do you think , I have listened to sound clips but can't make a choice , other than full Cat Back , which would you suggest , thanks......
Flowmasters seem to give the older muscle car sounds, where as magnaflows sound more racier in my opinion. Both good, just different.
I went with flowmasters at rear where the reso's were, straights pipes in the middle where the two mufflers were on my 6 speed.

So if I'm reading this correctly the Corsa system is the only one that gives you a good sound without any drone, right?
