Hi,
The scat pac stage 1 is:
1) cold air intake (I've done this Mopar just like in the stage 1 package)
2) Exhaust cat-back (I've done this, not Mopar )3) PCM module (I don't have this - Can I purchase "just this" ?)
4) High flow oil filter (I don't have this - Can I purchase "just this" ?)
So? is it possible to just get 3 & 4 above? Does anyone know?
You can get just the PCM, but it ain't cheap. Better off to just get a tuner, it's cheaper and you can do more.
Luke from Steve Whites posted about the hoops you have to jump through to get the PCM and costs a while back...
I'm not so sure a tuner is cheaper than a PCM ? I PCM is about $250 from what I've seen, and a tuner $400+
Unless a stage 1 PCM is much more than stock?
Ok, Ok....everyone is saying you can NOT get the stage 1 PCM separately....so, how about,,,as I stated above...I "Did my own" Stage 1.....Can I just get the Stage 2 ? ...or are they going to say "NOT without Our Stage 1" ?
You could buy the stage 1 kit and sell the other parts you don't want separate here or on eBay etc......that's if you must have the factory PCM tune and emblems.
And that's the answer. No one knows. If you started at the end of the linked thread, you will see that Luke is trying to get answers. Call Luke directly if you want. No one seems to know yet. Sit back and relax, it's gonna be a while.
Yup, there would be a lot of folks, especially Luke, that would just love to have Dodge just publish the part numbers, pricing, and just let the folks buy them.
But they don't, and they sure don't seem to be in any hurry, for reasons that have been discussed to death in numerous threads.
The Scat Pack upgrade(s) have been hyped, written about, discussed, and all that we really have after 18 months of waiting is...................................a cat back, a CAI, and a mildly tuned PCM.
The rest is still pretty much vaporware at this point. One will need patience for the II and III stages to be available, and if you own a pre '11, it doesn't matter anyways! LOL
I'm thinking that saving $10 grand, getting 110+ hp, and using a procharger ....the 10 grand in savings would go a long way against not having a warranty... Not to mention twice the horse power
