Whats up? for those that swapped pulley's on the 2300 where are you sourcing them from? Thinking about swapping on a 8lb pulley but don't see anything from magnacharger themselves! Also, would 8lbs be safe to run on a stock motor?
I got mine from Supercharger Connections (link to pulley's). I've been running an 8lb pulley producing 7.8lbs for several months with no issues. I've pounded mine pretty hard. As long as you have a good tune you should be okay but, like everything else, increasing power/boost level is not without its risks.
Thanks for the reply. Car is weekend car only in the summer and doesn't get beat on that much. I plan on having Johan do the tune in the spring since he is the biggest name I read about around here for tunes. Thanks again.
Johan did my 6# and 8# tunes. Had a minor issue with COT on the 8# in 100+ temps. He got it squared away in a revised tune that is spot on. Give Jessika a call at S/C connections and she'll get you fixed up. I think the 3.2 pulley should be the one you want.
Be careful about the pulleys. We have a special offset pulley on the Hemi cars it is not the normal .400 o/s it is actually a .440 o/s i know it doesn't seem like much but you may develop a belt squeak or possibly throw belts. Just a heads up!
