I'm looking forward to your track results, if this cam makes a significant difference I think it's going to be a popular mod.

If it can be tuned properly it will! Its bigger than a stock 5.7 cam. I dont know much about EFI tuning with these cars but if a tuner can advance the cam, control the timing, and provied the correct a/f it will make more power! Can this be done with diabo software by Joe Blow CRM tunner? I dont know?

Good news. I didnt think the tune would be to far off to fire and log.
You probally got 30hp extra up top.
Post up the dyno slip the 28th, lets have a look see at the hp and tq curve.

375 hp and 382 torque. I was guessing 380 so im pretty happy. I drove the car for 2 weeks with a 91 cai tune and 4 degrees timing added and no codes. I lost 3 mpg according to my ecometer. After the dynotune the car feels a little stronger and I got my 3 mpg back. I was also expecting it to peak higher. Dyno operator said that stock 6.1's dyno about 350 on that dyno. I'll post time slips when I go back to the track.

Here is whats done to the car
C@L cold air
Flowmaster forceII catback
Jba shorties
HHP midpipes (no converters)
180 thermostat
6.4 cam with manley springs

Was this at the wheels or the crank?

Did you guys try running her to 6000-6200? It looks like you can run it up a bit more, doesn't look like you'll make more peek power, but it seems you can carry 375RWHP a little further cross the RPM range.

The car is a 6 speed. HP was at the wheels. Didn't run it past the factory rev limit. After I left the shop I bumped the limiter up 200 rpms and it still felt strong. I dont want to spin it to high with the stock pushrods and high pressure springs. (I've bent pushrods on my old 340 before by overreving it). I also ran it with the air filter on. I always pick up a tenth at the track when I take it off.

It would be interesting to see a baseline before the swap...I dyno'd with the same type of mods on my '09 6sp: catless mids, CAI, Magnflow exhaust, 180 thermo, jba headers and I pulled a best 364 hp 396 tq.
I have the 6.4 cam and PSI springs sitting on my bench awaiting my install.
