2012 R/T stroker options or supercharger HELP!?!?

I'm used to old school muscle cars, bore, carbs, cams, etc etc...

Am i correct to assume my new 2012 RT classic, can't be upgraded at all beyond my K and N intake and exhaust?

I heard the ECM has a rolling code and isnt cracked, military grade encryption.

Does that mean I can't get someone to to a stoker install for me? do they sell a 5.7 stroker for the 2012 specifically? or can I at LEAST buy a supercharge, say from SMS or Procharger or something? If you do supercharge, or stroker etc the original engine, doesnt the tuning need to be changed?

The other option is a guess a different engine, but even then, do they provide you with a different ECM for it? wierd. i dont get this computer stuff in cars.

I know that I can't retune my car yet, maybe ever due to lack of crack for computer, but I'd like to do alot more than tuning for my 12.

any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm lost as to my options, and just what on certain mopar sites even works with my car, since often they dont specify years.

or what happens if you want to drop in say a 426 stroker like this guy has on youtube...

are we locked out? is it a computer replace? argh that might be tricky right ?? would that risk some OTHER things not working right in the car?

Id love to do something like this to the numbers matching engine though, get her bored as big as possible etc etc....but im open to hearing what options are even possible. thanks guys.

Just noticed RDP from OHIO has worked on a 12 srt8. wouldnt that mean the 12's are dooable now? or only the srt8s? i heard someone elsewhere talking about downgrading the ecm to an older challenger, but wouldnt that mess things up for the newer model? sounds scary!

holy hell, this guy on the youtube says it costs 5 grand just to put the new challengers ECU back 2 years to 2010 mode. I hope they crack it soon so I don't have to waste 5 grand for that!! id rather spend that extra 5 on MO POWER!!!!! how does chrysler install a crate or mopar stroker engine from their shop for you then? or do they mess with the codes in secret.....?? or those engines arent available for 2012?

Go look at the 6.4 threads on this. There are 100's of pages and arguments. The rolling code you speak of is the same one on the 2011 392. There are 2 ways around this.
2010 PCM swap with new wire harness or B & G Chrysler specialists in Michigan who has the software to get into the computer and tune the cars. B & G tuned the 392's, but they are behind on releasing an updated tune for the North with higher fan temp settings and for the South to accommodate for lower quality fuel and high temps.

If you go the B & G route, make sure you take into consideration the quality of gas you run, average temps your car will see, and if you are running a manual or auto. No one tune is good for all.

You will hear both negative and positive about B & G, I personally have had a positive experience. The gentleman that runs the shop is just swamped and is hard to reach as he is buried in work.

B & G does not offer a hand held device for this. It is a straight flash and that is it.

Good luck!

NO WAY...well the tuning is a start. was hoping to do engine mods, but if he can tune the car, does that also mean he can tune the car around your engine work? if so that would be amazing, as I'm one mile south of Detroit in Windsor, so this is easily doable. I get my cars done over there often eg. my camaro at DTS in Warren...their work is stellar!

Thanks for the heads up. ill look them up later today after the car show. where are they in Michigan?

B&G can only tune your car or the computer at his facility. Meaning you have bring your car to him and or pull the ECU and send it to him. He does this by using the same $$$ equipment Chrylser dealerships use. He did not break the encryption, these are stock canned tunes.

You're best bet is ship your car to Arlington and have them do the 2010 wiring harness swap.

It cost more like 3000 rather than 5000 for the harness swap
