I never said I knew anything about tuning a car and was not talking about the car Andy tuned. I was talking about the whipple that was installed and the tuner is having the same problems my tuners were having. The point I was trying to make is there is not a supercharger manufacturer currently putting out a decent tune for the 09 5.7. Are you saying that's not true?

I have to agree with HemiOrange RT. I was looking into getting a SC for my R/T w/auto trans and from everything I researched the options were much more limited than with the 6.1L. Kenne Bell isn't coming out with one for the 5.7L w/auto until Jan (allegedly), nor is Hennessey (until Jan). SMS told me they had one for the 5.7L, but the list price on their supercharger is like $8,999. I could never find a local shop who said they could install even a Procharger or Vortech and guarantee a good custom tune so I just went with getting cams, heads, and throttle body.

Thanks for the info everyone.

HemiOrange_RT - Were you one of the first guys on here to get a blower tune on your ECM for the Vortec you're running? I guess I'm just assuming that by your earlier post in this thread:
Hell I will bet you most tuners will tell you that they have even done several just to get you in the door. Then after a few days find themselfves in way over their heads. That's what happened to me.
I guess if I pulled my car into a shop that claimed they knew what they were doing and didn't, I'd feel the same way about shops that are tuning these cars too.

It didn't take much researching before I found posts about guys that got thier ECM tuned for thier blowers and they are getting occasional codes for #7 cylinder misfire. Also thier "Check Engine" light is staying on. Also read posts about people recieving wrong tunes with the Vortec kits, Prochager kits not making the power as advertised, having to deal with only "Tier one" tuners and mechanics ($$).......Exactly what I'd like to avoid after spending over 6K for a kit. Not sure how accurate all these posts are, but it doesn't instill confidence for all of us contemplating adding a blower to our Challengers. Thanks again for everyone's replies.
