So it's just an old E-body shifter handle? I thought it had to be different or have a different mount...

USMCBulldog, thanks for the info. The combination you show looks awesome. By chance do you have a feel for how high the top of the new shifter grip comes? Is it comparable to the stocker, or is it much higher (it is hard to tell from the pictures).

Thanks for your help, and nice job on the selection.

So do I. I have the Hurst Shifter but installed the stock handle.

Question!

What is entailed in changing the shifter out? Would I need any special tools or anything?

Thanks!

Great shifter look. Yearone has an OEM style with a small curve back that would put handle more straight up. Would that work also ?

If rest your forearm on the arm rest, the grip fits right in your hand. Perfect fit and comfortanle.

I have the Hurst short throw comp shifter. However, I believe the handle will bolt up to the stock shifter. Somebody else will have to verify that.

The shifter comes with instructions or you can go to Speedy's web site where ABMarine has an excellent video showing the install. All of it can be done from up top.

There are 2 different mounting points on the new Hurst shifter 1 is for the stock shifter handle, it bolts in line with shifter like the stock shifter. 2nd one is to the right and will except most any shifter handle you like.

Thanks for all the great information and pictures.

Did anyone notice that Hurst appears to have changed the name of the unit on their website?

Originally it was called the Hurst Competition/Plus 2 and now the Hurst website is showing the name as the Billet/Plus2 for the 09+ Challengers. I believe it is still the same unit, but can anyone confirm this?

Thanks again for all the great info.
