That's an insane setup, especially running that level of boost! Thanks for sharing.

I was at a local speed shop in Houston, and they've had an SRT8 sitting outside for several weeks. Turns out it was modified with one of Hennessey's 600HP kits (the supercharged version I think). Engine was blown, so it's awaiting a stroker motor.

You folks that push the edge of the envelope allow the rest of us to learn and live vicariously. Much appreciated!

I'm going to get my engine rebuilt with forged pistons and h-beam rods. ARP studs throughout and then throw 12-16#'s at it without worry. I'll sleep better at night knowing it will last.

Right on Sam! Thats pretty typical of the Hennessey cars.

Abnmarine,

Since your going that route you should just grab a forged 6.1 short block from HHP, there on the shelf ready to go, This way you can save your stock motor incase you ever wanna go back to stock.

Good luck whatever you decide!

Thanks for the info. Go back to stock? Now why would I want to do that? That's like removing the prosthetic leg from a one legged man and telling him to run.

I saw Adams car at Beach Burger in Huntington Beach and it is a beast and he drives it on the street. So not only is it sick fast but he can jump in it and drive it any where he wants to.
