Forced Induction

Does anyone plan on going the forced induction route once they get their car? Im looking at all of my options, and I think i will take that route this time. I have always like the thought of having a positive displacement supercharger on a Hemi powered car. Im looking into the one PPP has offered, the RDP blower. It seems to have a lot of potential, what do you guys think?

Re: Forced Induction

I will look into this later on...

I want to mod the car slowly. I ll start with cai, exhast. Then some suspension and tune. If I am not satisfied, will go with a supercharger (procharger or vortec)

Re: Forced Induction

nice, i dont think i will touch the suspension. I dont want to lose any ride quality and i doubt i go to any road courses. So i wont have a need for that. I too will probably take it slow, i plan on CAI and exhaust in the beginning. Once my warranty is almost up (should only take me a year ) i will start looking into the superchargers. I was thinking about the procharger and vortec, but i want more low end grunt than what they have.

Re: Forced Induction

My suspension work will probably be limited to front and rear sways and a strut brace.

The only thing I am worried abouy with the other superchargers is reliabilty. There does not see to be a ton of other options for these cars.

Re: Forced Induction

sways would be good, i wasnt even thinking of that lol..

Well there are about 4 supercharger options that i know of, procharger, vortec, i-charger, and the rdp blower. Then there is the turbo option that PPP has, it makes good power best i remember

Re: Forced Induction

Eventually I will supercharge, but to get that little extra boost early in the game, I will install a 100 HP NOS kit. Blower in a Bottle!

Re: Forced Induction

The only thing that I would be worried about is long term reliability. I never intend to sell my Challenger SRT and don't want to have any engine problems. During last week's SRT Chat Session, I asked the engineers about the Diablo and Predator tuners. Here is their response:

"I would not spend the money as most of the aftermarket tuning packages we have evaluated may put spark in or take fuel out of the wrong places and create durability issues."

They have to say that they work for the factory. Can you imagine if they said the Predator (or any other tuner) is perfectly fine and then a bunch of knuckleheads, who don't know what they're doing, get a hold of them and blow up a bunch of engines.

"The engineers said it was perfectly safe, right here in writing". The engineers would be imediately fired.
