Fuel additives for those stuck with 91 octane

Just wondering which fuel additives are known to be the best.

Most areas in CA are stuck with 91 octane. I've been thinking of just filling a large gas can and mixing additives in it for higher octane before putting it in the tank.

Opinions/input?

I think most folks use Torco but it ain't cheap.

Torco Accelerator - It's not just an octane booster

I agree...Torco is the best. It is pricey though.

If you are looking for something you can get off the shelf Lucas Oil "octane booster racing formula" is very good. It will raise a tank around 3 octane numbers versus the others raising it by a few octane points.

FYI...none of this stuff is good for your spark plugs or fuel injectors. They all leave deposits that can eventually lead to fouling or clogging.
