Here is why I am going with corsa exhaust.

I plan on going with corsa because you get that nice rumble when you step on it, but going down the highway you have no drone in the cab. Very nice IMO. here is a link to the audio clips for the SRT8. Notice the exterior revs, then the acceleration from 60-80 inside the cab.

Re: Here is why I am going with corsa exhaust.

I don't really care too much about drone as long as it's not severe. My main concern is a nice solid and full sounding rumble. I don't want the loud pops'n'crackles some exhaust gives. I want a full body roar and it needs to be loud regardless. I'm going to ask Bob for a comparison video if I can get one of the stock exhaust compared to the corsa. If it's not substantial in auditory difference I may not get it.

Re: Here is why I am going with corsa exhaust.

look on youtube for sound clips of a stock SRT8 exhaust. It should sound very similar to a charger or 300 srt8. SLP is, IMO, the best sounding. But there is alot of drone. Corsa is the really the only one that has no drone and sounds great.

Re: Here is why I am going with corsa exhaust.

I will have a corsa sustem installed in the next few weeks. They are located just a few miles from where I live. I agree that they sound great when you need them to but stay civilized when just cruising.

Re: Here is why I am going with corsa exhaust.

I have bought a few systems from them in the past and have made decent friends with the owner. He told me he'll discount it for me at about 1400 installed.

Re: Here is why I am going with corsa exhaust.

Yes. That's right. About 1400 installed. 425, I was disappointed when I started up an 08 this week and I had major concerns...I spoke with Bob F. and I'm going with the exhaust system myself. He's doing his exhaust next week. I'm sure you've spoken with Bob about this. Give him a call for some insight. Yeah...this machine needs exhaust work (if that's where your sound preference lies, which mine does). A roar when you need it and enough powerful dignity when you don't. It will sound fierce...can't wait to get it.

Re: Here is why I am going with corsa exhaust.

Yea i was disappointed as well on my charger. No rumble at all from the factory exhaust. Im not a big ford fan, but those mustangs sound very nice from factory, why cant dodge do the same? Im not wanting obnoxiously loud or anything, just a nice deep rumble. Corsa seems to achieve that better than anyone else without the drone. Which is what I hate the most. I did talk to Bob on Friday about the exhaust issue, he is going in this week to get swapped out. He said he had corsa on his charger and that is what he will do on the challenger. He also asked me where i got my headers from, so he may be doing that as well. Im not sure on that one yet. Anyway, he said he would get a firm quote asap after the install on his, as well as a quote on the tint.
