JMB Performance CAI on `10 R/T-C

Installed a JMB Performance CAI on my Classic. It has a K&N cone filter that is outside the engine bay. Got the whole setup used from a friend for $115 and painted it Organosol black before installing it.

It came in candy apple red powdercoat with a clear coat. I scuffed it by hand with 400 grit for about 30 minutes. Wiped it down with evaporator/reducer and shot it rattle can primer before spraying the rattle can Organosol (from Totally Auto). Three coats later...it turned out great.

How was the install? Did you have to remove the fascia? How hard will it be to change the filter?

Took out the small screws and push pins from below the spoiler in front. Also, a few push pins at the driver's side wheel well liner. Not easy but definitely not hard to do. I don't expect to do much to the K&N filter. They filter more dirt as they accumulate debris. Flow goes down slightly but it will be a long time between filter cleanings.

See you at the drag strip and show in May!
