Kenne Bell SRT8 vs. GT500

I’m not sure about the 20111 Shelby GT500 because I haven’t seen any data yet and the fact that it has an all aluminum engine now, but the 2010 GT 500 ran 12.8 in the ¼ mile according to Motortrend Magazine. According to the Kenne Bell website, their base supercharger system (8 psi boost) in a 2009 6.1L SRT8 Challenger is good for 515 RWHP and 11.79 ¼ mile time at 116.2 mph so a stock GT500 should be no problem.

In the track forum they had a video of it. There has also been a few people post in a kills thread about beating a gt 500 with their supercharged Challenger.

I have seen them raced and yes, a Supercharged SRT8 can pull a stock GT500.

I raced a stock GT500 at the track with my CAI/Corsa/Predator/Nitto combo and pulled off a 12.8x@109 to his 13.1@111 ,pretty close match up. I then ran him with a 75 shot and gave him a long look at my sexy back.

Ive destroyed several at the track with my cam/stall/headers srt charger running 11.8's@116 to their high 12's@116-118. I will admit, it was because the drivers sucked! Thats the thing about those cars, their heavy 6 speed cars that are hard to launch. Thats the reason you will see alot of them running crappy times with high mph. Need to be a damn good driver to get decent times out of them, unless you convert it to an auto.

I've beaten a few of them with my three minor mods. No blower required. Those Shelbys are manual tranmission only.

What boost do you think the stock motor can handle?
