I feel your pain. I too have been going over this for at least 3 months now. Drone is definitely the issue with me as well. I want to do it right the 1st time. Good luck.

I can tell you I have the Corsa and went through the same thing you are going through and when are club had a dyno day and I heard the Corsa and asked how it was on the freeway and he told me it was like the stock system I was sold and the next week I had mine put in and LOVE it. I did not care about price I did care about drone. I'd spend $500 more not to have drone than have it.

This Magnaflow MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust exhaust will produce drone. Magnaflow makes another exhaust MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust with resonaters that will cancel out the drone. I myself am trying to decide on an exhaust that will give me added HP but not too much sound. With that said Corsa prides itself on their anti drone technology. Its rather expensive but maybe worth it. I would like to see a comparison on the two systems with resonators.

The videos I listened to of MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust it didnt' sound much different from stock.

I want a little sound....just not so much that I get a headache everytime I ride around.

I'm gonna call Corsa tomorrow to test out their customer service. If it's good, I'll buy it. If it's as lowsy as Magnaflow, I'll save the $$ and just get the Magnaflow.

Customer service is worth a lot to me. I'd get the MBRP based solely on their customer service, but I just can't get past their exhaust note or tips.

The Corsa is mild, but you'll still notice it (in a good way). In fact, I find myself shifting manually more just to hear the exhaust. No invasive drone on my SRT8. Very nice tips. To me, this exhaust sounds "right" for the car's looks.

I agree, customer service is sometimes as important, or more important, than price alone. Perhaps you would do better buying your system from a local shop that has good customer service, rather than from "the cheapest place on the internet". I bought my Magnaflow system, from the local City Muffler shop in the town where I live. I know the owner of the shop personally, I have had him do exhaust work on several vehicles over the years, and I know there wont be a problem with service after the sale, ... ever. He is a car guy if there ever was one, and is a die hard Mopar fan. I have the only Challenger in town and he wanted to make sure it was done right when it came to a cat back exhaust. I asked him which brand of exhaust I should get for my Challenger, and he said Magnaflow, no question about it. I asked him why Magnaflow, and his response was that they have by far the best customer service in the industry. But in this case Magnaflow's "customer" is one of the stores that sells their product. Apparently he has never had one problem from Magnaflow about honoring a warranty or replacing a product if asked. Anyway, something to think about.

I have the comp series Magnaflow exhaust, ... the one that is supposed to produce a drone. It doesn't. The car is still very nice for long highway rides. It is loud though, and you wont have to wonder if you are riding in a muscle car when you hit the skinny pedal.

I talked to a buddy of mine about this last night. He's owned a couple of Z06 Vettes and currently has an 08' model and attends a lot of car shows and what not.

He told me that Corsa are very good pieces but that they're extremely proud of them (read $$) which I already noticed. His advice was to go with the Magnaflow and put the cash saved toward other upgrades.

As for sound, I don't mind a nice throaty type loud...what I don't want is that crackling popping loud when you get on the gas.

I did have one other thought which was to buy the non Magnapack system that has the resonators AND mufflers. Then if it's not loud enough I can have a local shop just remove the rear mufflers and replace them with pipe. This system is only $50 more than the Magnapack system from the retailer I've found.

This is Magnapack System:

This is the standard system:

I've only seen one other Challenger in my area and it still had stock exhaust so there's really none I can listen to in person.

1. SPEND less than $400 on parts AND installation
2. Have great sound with no drone at highway cruising
3. Increase hp

IS this possible...??? sure .. go to your local muffler shop and ask them to remove the stock cat back and install a magnaflow dual in/out single muffler with 3" pipe using stock tips.... i installed the predator this weekend and this system sounds awesome ..

I put the Pypes system with there Violator mufflers on my SRT8 and it sounds terrific. It's more aggresive then both of the systems your considering but it's not stupid loud.Sounds great at idle and at WOT let's you know your in a hot rod.I put the Corsa system on mine first, drove it for ten miles took it off and sold it. It wasn't much difference from what the stock souded like. Pypes is a supporting vendor, go onto there site and take a listen before you buy and the entire system delivered was $584.00
