Magnaflow exhaust

Does anyone have any experience with the Magnaflow exhaust? What are your thoughts/comments? The local muffler shop says they can use the stock system and just install the Magnaflow mufflers and such in order to utilize the stock pipes. I don't know if that would be the best way or not.

Re: Magnaflow exhaust

I run the magnaflow comp catback. It was a nice install, great price ($729 delivered), and has no real resonance issues. It gave it a nice throaty sound at idle...but loud under full throttle.

Re: Magnaflow exhaust

I have the full catback system. It is very nice. Not loud at all but throaty. Not going to hamper any conversation in the car either!. If you want to save some $$ you could install the mufflers themselves and if you wanted it even louder have the shop remove the inline resonators on the stock system

Re: Magnaflow exhaust

I run their comp. series cat back and its great. Not to loud and isn't bad on the drone but it rumbles when you get on it. Exactly what I was looking for.

BTW - Your screen name really confused me. Thought I may have posted when I was sleeping or something

Re: Magnaflow exhaust

Not to sound like the pushy sales person-- (I really dont like them). The Magnaflow does sound really good and fitment is great. They are installed on our Project Executive Jet, talked about here on Challenger Talk. The customer loves them.

One question to ask is: Do you want square tips? I dont think the Magnaflow comes with square tips, but rather 4 round tips.

We have great prices on them and many other brands.

I can give you a quote of you like.

Thanks guys and have fun!!

Re: Magnaflow exhaust

I use a Magnaflow with the stock tips. I didn't want an after-market tip

Thank you...I had them do the brushed aluminum lip and amazingly enough it almost matches the car color perfectly. I'm very happy with how they came out.

Me too! I saw your post and thought WTF? What I am looking for is no noticeable exhaust noise going down the road, and nice throaty sound at idle, and good sound on acceleration. I dunno, am I asking too much?

Thanks for all the advice. This is a tuff one for sure.

Re: Magnaflow exhaust

I agonized over exhaust for a couple of week. Bought the magnaflow 16880 kit with stock tips. Sounds great - but listen to a few if you can. Good luck
