You won't get that much. It's anywhere from 10 - 20 rwhp. I just watched the exhaust install, and he tallys the numbers at the end stating that the Mopar CAI got them about 15-20 rwhp, the exhaust was a bit less, but with a predator tune as well you can get about 50hp out of all those mods which sounds about right.

Re: MOPAR 6.1L Cold Air Intake = 40hp?

How much more fuel are they dumping in to get the 40HP? They would not tell.....I think you are lucky to get 10-15 HP with just a CAI. When you start changing the fuel flow & volume is where you will pick up more HP.

I do agree with Mopar rules, CAI, Free flow cats and exhaust & Predator you could see close to a 50HP gain!

We dyno tune 4-8 LX cars per week. With a CAI, cat back exhaust and Predator, you should expect between 390-401whp on an 6.1 SRT.

Tim, What is the average baseline for stock 5.7's and 6.1's?

Re: MOPAR 6.1L Cold Air Intake = 40hp?

Here is a stock 5.7 vs a PPP 426- the whoops on the early part of the 426 run is from the torque converter.

This next one is 2 different stock 6.1L

A few more 426's

Re: MOPAR 6.1L Cold Air Intake = 40hp?

So to answer you question better. ALL STOCK, no mods: 5.7s make 260-270whp and 6.1s make around 350-360ish

Re: MOPAR 6.1L Cold Air Intake = 40hp?

what kind of timing are you able to put in with these motors? Forgive me for being an idiot - I've been a ford guy for a long time but am drawn to the look of the challenger and will have one of these too.

Re: MOPAR 6.1L Cold Air Intake = 40hp?

Hey no problem. Our "partners" Modular Depot build some amazing, high HP Mustangs, Ford GT's and more. They have 1-3 Shelby GT500's per week in getting upgraded pulleys, tuning, exhaust, etc. I see your 784whp. very nice, you must have alot done to it. Most of the Shelbys that come here make around 550whp when they leave from the above mentioned upgrades.

As for the timing: Unfortunatly I cant release any detail about our tuning as its all proprietary information. Like Coke's secret recipe. We have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in research and development to become the market leader, and we would like to keep every competitve edge we have.

Thanks,

Tim C
