My Dyno and track results with various mods

Here are my dyno and track results with various mods for reference:

Dynojet Dyno:
365/348 bone stock, heat soak. 13.3 @ 103.5mph - heat soak and the lousy 2-3 diagnostic shift, Sears Point
370/355 Mopar CAI added, 10 degrees warmer than bone stock, 13.6 @ 108mph - very slippery, cool day, Sac Raceway
385/382 CAI, cats/catback, tstat, manifold spacers, 13.3 @ 106.7mph, Sears Point, 2-3 shift again

LandSpeed DYNOmite:
baseline 388 / 408tq 91oct CAI canned tune, 12.82 @ 109mph, Sears Point
Final 91oct tune 398/422
Final 96+ octane tune 413/432

Pretty happy with it. Ran a best 12.715 @ 111.06mph w/ 1.976 at Sears Point.

The 2-3 diagnostic shift was mentioned in a past SRT Chat. The first time after start-up, the car has a lazy 2-3 shift above 20mph. In the staging lanes at Sears Point, this is almost impossible to avoid without the Diablo. It's so bad, it feels like a major malfunction at WOT around 80mph.....

Launch technique: My personal opinion and experience is tire pressure BELOW 35psi for the Goodyear F1s is DETRIMENTAL to traction and 60fts. I also found that 1/3 to 1/2 tank of gas helps with a good weight transfer to the rear while powering out of the "hole".

I give slight throttle raising the rpms ever-so-slightly, on the last yellow, I give a quick, partial stab to the throttle, feel the rear end squat, then got WOT. I managed several 1.9 60fts with this technique.

Re: My Dyno and track results with various mods

Nice launch technique! I must try that one.

I too found that lowering the pressure in the michelins on the daytona really didn't help.
