My personal tour of the new SMS Facility

I was personally invited by Sean Saleen to visit there new facility in Anahiem yesterday.
OMG! is alls I can say. Sean treated us very well. And is truly genuine when it comes to helping us Mopar guys out. These guys are completely off the charts, There 150,000 sq ft. facility is state of the art. There engineering team is top notch.
They produce, R&D, Track Test, and perfect every part prior to its release.
The 6.1 Blown Hemi Motor is in a Glass Room like a Chimpanzee at a research lab.
Im not sure just how much Im allowed to say.

Drivability is of the utmost importance to Sean and his team. They are very much aware of what other blowers are doing, and more importantly "NOT" doing.

We will probably be setting up a M&G at there facility in the very near future. Final Development of the Saleen Challenger and all its modifications is well under way. There very much aware of our current issues, TCM, Tranni, and Tuning. Sean and his team have all 3 of those areas completely solved they assured me. Theve also told me they will have complete solutions for Magnums, 300's, Chargers, Jeeps as well. This is very very real folks. __________________

Re: My personal tour of the new SMS Facility

I am sure the facility is nice and they will be a strong player in the mod market for our challlengers. I would have to say as a satisfied customer that Power Ported Performance will be hard to beat if your looking to upgrade from the stock engine. I am sure they do not have the capitol or production capacity that the new Saleen company will but this is not mustangs we are talking about. Hemi engines are a totally different animal and I would be reluctant to trust someone as much as Power Ported. Just my opinion!!!

Believe me when I say, I went into depth on our current issues, There not worried. And while anyone can put together a Stroker 426. Its the tuning, Tranni, TCM thats been giving us all the problems. Im not at liberty to discuss but let me assure you. There are NO issues with Tuning, The Tranni, or the TCM, These folks have been writting code for decades. And let me quote them.
The late model Hemi is gonna be 1/2 the nut to crack that the mustang was.
Evidently the Mustang was a royal PITA for them when they started. This is a calkwalk for them. So as much as I like Jeremy, Andy at PPP, As I have run plenty of there stuff he last 2 yrs, this is a whole new level.

Have you tracked your 426? Do you plan to? 1/4 mile? Road Course?

Not sure how I replied to myself.

Re: My personal tour of the new SMS Facility

Either way, the more people involved in the aftermarket, the better!!!

I am planning to hit Norwalk raceway in Ohio in a couple weeks. I will share times then. I can tell you that the power upgrade is huge!!!

We will see There are things going on that I wanted to fill you in on, call me tomorrow if you get a chance. There is a reason me and Jeremy knew where you were going. Remember Jeremy saying "does it start with an S and end with an S", and my text message about Sean. lol. Anyhow, give me a call tomorrow.

Re: My personal tour of the new SMS Facility

Haha, with all due respect this is good too see. Keep the aftermarket on their toes with some competition, and we the consumers are going to be the ones that win.

Re: My personal tour of the new SMS Facility

Competition is always a good thing. SMS will help grow the Hemi industry and we will all benefit from it. I cant wait to see the supercharger once its released, hell we will probably buy them if they work and function as well as I think they will.
