I agree you do need the upgraded tranny. With your power I would sure run one.

I have seen NMRA Hot Street run manual trans at 9.0 's. I guess when you practice enough it becomes perfect!

It will be interesting to see how consistent the runs will be with the 6 speed. I agree, it takes a lot of practice to run good every time. Too many variables that can change how a run goes.

It will be fun rubbel. Look forward to seeing how it does. Definitely a beast.

I did this project for FUN. I agree it will be interesting with a manual tranny.
I've run a transbrake and rev limiter - let go of the button and steer. The 6 speed will be a challenge on the strip and fun on the street too! For me it is about FUN - any time slip that I have fun making safely will be a GOOD TIME in more than one way!!! I'm old enough that I don't feel a need to prove anything on the road or the strip BUT I am competitive so I WANT TO WIN just like the person strapped in the car next to me at the strip.

Very nice build up going on. I'm interested in seeing how things go at the strip to with the six speed.

So were do you guys get beefier parts for this trans? And out of curiousity, what estimate can the stock trans take in HP/ TQ etc when you hook up?

Nice looking and man what a build! great job, yes safety a must on that much HP!

One more ?, what fluid are you going with in that trans?

For info on the stock T6060 see here http://www.rsgear.com/articles/2008_02.pdf

My trans will be built by Rockland Std. Gear. It is their tranzilla.

TRANZILLA! The ULTIMATE 6-Speed Gearbox!

hope that helps
