now with all these supercharger kits, I wonder which one to choose from...


Edit: Though it's a Dodge's dealership-provided kit, I think if someone want to store it and sell it after something like 30years (I always fantasize having a classic), It would lose it's value.

I wonder what a stock SRT put's down to the rear wheels?

Most that I know of stock are any where from 360 to 380 rwhp, drop in an CAI, 180 Thermo, catback and a Predator canned tune 400 to 440 is available on tap........before busting open the motor for a cam heads etc...........

most put down about 360-380 depending on altitude, outside temp, etc.

with a cai and full exhaust 400 hp would be an easy mark, to get anything more you would need heads and cam or a stroker kit.

I guess it kind of depends, remember the COPO Camaros? Some of those went up in value due to their rarity.

They were essentially dealer designed/installed packages.

The guys at the Speedfactory (Mark and Chris: Great guys to work with) installed the Vortech SC system on my 2006 Charger SRT8 as well and I saw the same numbers off the dyno as the Challenger, incredible power. Only thing I had to do was get more rubber on the road so I bought some Nitto Invos 275's on the back and 245's on the front.
This car is all the power I need until the 500 HP 6.4 liter Challenger 6 speed comes out, which I will then have the speedfactory install another Vortech and get to 700 HP!! That's the plan, I hope Dodge holds up their end of the deal.

The 6.4 (when and if it comes out) will most likely still have weak pistons and rods like the current 6.1. With new, all forged internals, ported heads and supercharger cam: 700 hp would be a reality.
