Performance ModificationsWant to talk about performance modifications for your Dodge Challenger? This is the forum for that. Anything from exhaust systems to power adders and everything in between. (Dodge Challenger Performance Modifications)
'Preciate that, you'll get a call when I'm ready for sure. In the mean time I'd love to be able to compare the dyno charts side by side, RPM to RPM, for as you mention, it's not all about peak HP and TQ. It's more about the total area under the curve, and where the power comes on.
With a twin screw, your torque curve is going to be nice and flat.. With a centri your torque curve is going to look like this: /
Hence the reason they're saying they don't compare.

It would be nice to see the dyno graphs over layed on each other though.....would make for a cool comparison of power delivery from the different setups.

We could take kevbo's dyno of his KB, since he posts it about seven times in each thread. I don't know who has a Vortech/Procharger and has posted a dyno chart.

We'd need Tim or one of the other vendors with the actual dyno run files to over lay them for us. You can load multiple runs in the software and that way they're on the same scale.
But I hear what you're saying with Kevbo. He's been on my ignore list for a long while. I don't see his posts anymore and that makes me happy

I found this on another forum where this same discussion was taking place in regards to centri vs. roots or twinscrew blowers and how they put down power. This is from a Mustang, but the results will be similar on a Challenger. The thing to note is the instant torque from the twin screw. The red is obviously the centri.

For someone who does drag racing, where your RPMs are from 4500-6000, you won't see much difference. A centri is probably a bit better since it doesn't rob as much power.
But look at that flat torque curve for the screw... ------------------------------- bam. Instant torque.
