Where to go for usual performance mods?

I looked through supporting vendors and found a car cover and door plates, but how about the usual simple performance mods like a cold air intake, computer chips, exhausts and the like or are there really none available yet?

Side note as I know moderators read most messages, you might want a short, simple list of vendors who are supporters on the sidebar of the main page, I looked there first assuming it would be there. Just a thought!

Re: Where to go for usual performance mods?

Ths CAI's are the same as the Charger....same part # from Chrysler. I have not verified that it will fit. I have my AFE II from my charger ready to go!.

Nobody has an exhaust yet available....Magnaflow wanted to use someones car to build one. do a search for magnaflow.

There is tuning from Diablo for 6.1 Automatic tranny cars only....Stick cars will have tuning soon.

I do not know if / When Diablo will have tuning for the new 5.7 cars.

There is a list of vendors here http://www.challengertalk.com/forums/

Re: Where to go for usual performance mods?

Looked at a charger with intake yesterday, it looks dead on, but the downside to having the car early (besides being molested every time you stop) is waiting for official mods, so I will kick back and wait. Since it snows here from November till April or so, I can watch all winter as goodies show up Thank you sir!

Re: Where to go for usual performance mods?

PPP can get you almost any performance modification you want. Anything like the door sills, floor mats or CAI, try contacting Ted at the Mopar Supercenter. Both are vendors on this site

Re: Where to go for usual performance mods?

To the best of my knowlege nobody is making gears yet. The missing link is the tuning.

With the predator you can put 3.06 (6.1) gears in a 2.82 (5.7) car. but that is the only change I know of.

Re: Where to go for usual performance mods?

No tuning is no loner an issue. What the delay is that No one makes a direct drop in ring and pinion for our cars. The only option is to do a Viper rear, and then you have many gear options. Cost to do the swap is approx. $5,000. You can also swap in a Viper 6 speed manual transmission for another $6,000.

Re: Where to go for usual performance mods?

wow, thats pricey for the viper rear, but im sure its worth every bit of it

any idea if its possible to swap the brembo brake system over to the viper brake system? The viper uses brembo's also, just bigger calipers all the way around?
